Municipal Fellows Program

The Municipal Fellows Program was a one-time program that provided SFRF funding to municipalities to address staff shortages that impacted housing production. Municipalities could apply for up to $168,000 to offset the cost of hiring one Fellow for a fellowship term of up to 2-years. To apply, municipalities had to articulate a scope of work they proposed to assign a fellow relating to municipal planning, zoning, or development activities, provided that such related directly to increasing housing development within the municipality. 

The program accepted applications on a rolling basis until funds were depleted or October 1, 2024.
