The mission of the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) is to provide opportunities for healthy and affordable housing through production, lead hazard mitigation, and the coordination of the homeless system and implementation of the State’s plan to end homelessness.
Groundbreaking celebration of ChurchWoods, 24 units of new rental housing in Charlestown, for persons 55+. ChurchWoods is scheduled to open in fall 2017.
A protective steel sheet pile wall, covered by a vegetated berm, will help protect the Scarborough wastewater treatment facility in Narragansett from future storm events.
The Office of Homelessness Services and Emergency Assistance is responsible for planning related to the crisis of homelessness.
